ROCKFORD – The Nanaksar Sikh Temple, located at 714 3rd Ave. in Rockford, will present an Ayurvedic seminar on Sunday, Dec. 13. The seminar will focus on the traditional Hindu system of medicine, Ayurveda, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and often uses diet, herbal treatment and yoga as a means to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

The seminar will be led by Dr. Rajesh Varma, BAMS, DHMS, and ND. Dr. Varma is an Ayurveda Visharad (traditional Hindu medical doctor) who is “renowned, eminent,” and has a “globe-trotting personality.”

Dr. Varma is widely-known for his “oratory skills, lucid speech,” and his focused and effective verbalism on “various topics ranging from lifestyle diseases to lifestyle management and control.”

Come and be a “witness of the life changing experience of Dr. Varma’s Research and Experience on Ayurveda.” He has presented this seminar in 33 countries around the world to help people adopt a healthy, happy, and stress-free lifestyle.

The seminar will take place on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Nanaskar Sikh Temple, located at 714 3rd Ave. in Rockford. The seminar is free and open to all.
