Connor Flynn, a sophomore at Stillman Valley High School, is the recipient of the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award. Connor was selected based on his essay and the leadership he demonstrates at SVHS. Connor will represent SVHS at the State Leadership Seminar in Chicago this summer where he will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet leaders in the state, and explore his own personal leadership skills while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in his community. Connor is already involved in band, the tech crew, and student council at SVHS.

Connor shared, “I hope to do similar things in other leadership positions in other organizations that have a profound effect on the school and community, like student council, renaissance team, or PSAC.”

The runner-up for this award is Olivia Kerr. Olivia will represent SVHS at the Illinois Leadership Seminar in Chicago this summer. Congratulations to both Connor and Olivia on this great honor.
