Maynard Kincaide, 77, of Rockford, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Feb. 2, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.

Maynard was born on Jan. 26, 1940 in Belvidere, the son of Perry and Effie (Hettrick) Kincaide.

Maynard married the love of his life, Catherine Blackwell, on Sept. 23, 1958 in Rockford.

He was employed as an assembler at Chrysler Corporation for 33 years. Maynard was a member of the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club. He had a passion for antique tractors, and woodworking. He will truly be missed.

Maynard is loved and missed by his loving wife, Catherine; children: Maynard (Kelly) Kincaide, Jr., Michael (Mellione) Kincaide, Laurie (Peter) Thompson, Mark (Tammy) Kincaide, Matthew (Samantha Cooper) Kincaide; grandchildren: Meghann Morrison, Lucas (Lori Kauffman) Kincaide, Becky (Norton) Dabelmont, Emily Kincaide, Ashley (Dennis Maloney) Kincaide, Joshua (Julie) Kincaide, Jon (Jackie Keith) Kincaide, Shelby Kincaide, Miya Vanderpool, and Cooper Kincaide; great-grandchildren: Janylah, Ni’caela, Aiden, Austin, Logan, Nora, and Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life took place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. in Belvidere. Cremation rites have been accorded.
