Single Family Rehabilitation Program assists low-income homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes.
The City of South Beloit has been awarded a grant of $294,735 from the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) to participate in the Single Family Rehabilitation Program, a new resource that will assist low-income and very low-income homeowners as they make necessary repairs their homes.
“The Single Family Rehabilitation Program will provide individual homeowners with up to $45,000 in forgivable assistance to make long overdue repairs,” said South Beloit Mayor Ted Rehl.
“Improving the health and safety of South Beloit residents is a key priority and I thank IHDA for this award to help our citi-zens.”
Funded through the Illinois Affordable Housing Trust Fund, the Single Family Rehabilitation Program provides grants to units of local government and community-based organizations to help low-income homeowners afford costly repairs and expenses, including
