Monday, Feb. 5, the IHSA Class 2A Girls’ Basketball State Playoffs begin and Byron gets the chance to work towards its third consecutive State Title. It could be a little tougher this time around though. The wins have been harder to come by this season.

That situation hasn’t kept the Lady Tigers from still managing to stay in contention for a Big Northern Title though. They had one loss entering game play this week. Dixon and Lutheran shared the lead at perfect 8-0 marks.

Byron got its chance to impact the final standings as they faced off with Rockford Lutheran on Monday, Jan. 29. Details of that contest, unfortunately, are unavailable at this time. They will face Dixon in the season closer at Byron on Feb. 2, which will allow the Lady Tigers to continue applying their influence.
