On Friday, Feb. 16 all of the regular season games will come to an end and the Byron Tigers will get a chance to take a shot at a Regional Title and possibly even more. Dixon comes in to help the winter sports season transition into bonus time and open the all-inclusive 2A Boys’ Basketball State Championship Tournament a few days later.

The final week of the regular season opened with a possible post-season preview for the Tigers. The Winnebago Indians brought their State top-tier designation to Ogle County on Tuesday, Feb 13. Details of that contest are unfortunately unavailable at this time.

It is understood that an upset win of the number two-ranked Winnebago Indians would have changed the dynamic of the final conference standing. It could have limited the final total number of team that end up winning or tying for conference, co-champion honors.
