“The show was wonderful,” said Claire Gierat of the Belvidere Rotary Club. “It was absolutely wonderful. It’s probably the best show we have ever had. We did really, really well.”

Over 300 people came out to support the talent show at the Community Center Complex at 111 W. 1st St. on Saturday, March 10. The Rotary Club hosted Boone County’s Got Talent to raise funds for the NASR programs at the Belvidere Park District and various other projects.

The lineup of talent ranged in age from the youngest, Saniya Hernandez at age 5, up to Lorraine Kiefer, at age 87. The show provided a stage and an audience for people who had never been on a stage before and for others who are very comfortable onstage performing for an audience.

Dan Holmes was the Artistic Director once again, coordinating the auditions, setting the talent show lineup, and directing the show. The Master of Ceremonies was Andrew Stutzke, WIFR Channel 23’s weekend meteorologist (who graciously scheduled good weather for the show). The Belvidere High School Jazz Band provided musical entertainment before the show and during intermission. The Belvidere North High School Honor Society ran the concession stand and sold raffle tickets.
