Algonquin Summer Concert Series: Senn Alan Band will be from 7:30 – 9 p.m. at the Riverfront Park, 201 N. Harrison Street, Algonquin. Concerts are held weekly on Thursday nights. Cary Summer Celebration will be from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Celebrate with music, food, and fireworks at the Cary Park District’s Summer Celebration at the Lions Park. Admission is free. Parking is $5.00 for grass or $10.00 for pavement. The rain date for fireworks is Thursday, July 9.

 

Saturday, July 4

Spring Grove 4th of July Festivities will be at Downtown Spring Grove and Horse Fair Park, Spring Grove. The parade in downtown Spring Grove begins promptly at noon, entertainment, food, refreshments and kids games to immediately follow at the Horse Fair Park all day. Fireworks begin at 7 p.m. $5 for parking at the part, $10 VIP under the fireworks parking at Thelen Park. For more information, call 815-675-1811.

 

Huntley Family Fun Day will be from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. at the Municipal Complex parking lot, 10987 Main Street.

 

Huntley 4th of July Fireworks will be from 9 – 10 p.m. at Deicke/Warrington Park.

 

Woodstock 4th of July Fireworks will be from 9 – 10 p.m. at Emricson Park. Parking for $8 will be available at the South Street entrance to the park. The park can be accessed through walk-in gates on West Jackson and South streets. Donations to pay for the fireworks will be accepted.

 

Tuesday, July 7

Concerts in the Park – One Foot in the Groove will be at 7 p.m. at Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake. Refreshments will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, some concerts will be moved to Park Place, 406 W. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake. The decision will be made by 4 p.m. For more information, call 815-459-0680.

Food For Change Movie Showing will be at 6 p.m. at the Cary Public Library, 1606 Three Oaks Road, Cary. Food for Change is a wonderful documentary that covers the history of co-ops and the current movement of co-ops today. For more information, call 815-315-1541.

Essential Oils Make & Take will be from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Crystal Lake Brewing, 150 N. Main Street, Crystal Lake. Stations will be setup where you can create your own take home items with essential oils. Each station is $5 and you can pick one station or you can pick 4 stations, or just come and watch and visit.
