With her parents beaming proudly, Taylor Ferguson signs a Letter of Intent to pole vault at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Belvidere North High School hosted a ceremony for Taylor Ferguson as she signed a Letter of Intent to pole vault at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Tuesday, April 17.

Taylor’s accomplishments in high school include being a three-sport athlete. She played volleyball for all four years, two of them on the Varsity team. She performed in the Varsity Competitive Cheer team for four years and was on the Varsity Track & Field team for all four years as well.

Her academic honors include a 4.0 GPA, High Honor Roll for all four years of high school, All State Scholar and Aces.

Her athletic honors include: Scholar Athlete – all four years – ten time total; Captain Award for Volleyball in her Senior year; MVP Award for Competitive Cheer in her Senior year; All Preps Team of the Rock River Valley for Cheerleading and Track; All Conference for Cheerleading in her Junior and Senior years; Special mention for Pole Vault in her Sophomore year; and All Conference for Pole Vault in her Junior year.

Her extracurricular interests include National Honor Society; Science Honor Society; English Honor Society; Best Buddies; Northway Mentor; and Student Ambassador.

Her college plans are to pole vault D1 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and study anesthesiology at their College of Health Sciences.

“She’s a great leader and one of the hardest working kids we have had,” said Athletic Director, Mr. Flynn. “We couldn’t be more proud.”
