The Winnebago High School Scholastic Bowl teams received several honors this year. The varsity team placed second behind Byron in the Mid-Northern Conference. Then the team went on to win the regional title held here at Winnebago. They easily defeated their opponents: Scales Mound, 600-70, East Dubuque, 450-200, and Pecatonica 650-170. Those who competed at regionals were Zane Smalley, Trevor Vice, Natalie Howell, Andy Marshall, Davey Lyons, and Gracie Webb.

The regional championship qualified the team for Sectionals but the team had to forfeit their games because of not enough players. Several team members were involved with a Robotics competition on the same day. Those who represented Winnebago and played very well, though, were Gracie Webb, Andy Marshall, and Hannah Eichenberger. Also participating in the program this year was Charlie Bachman.
