11th annual Fleas on Steroids late night market will be held June 16.

“It’s moonlight madness for fleas and fun. No need for suntan lotion at this flea market,” stated Bob Zurko of Zurko’s Midwest Promotions, a 48-year veteran of promoting flea markets and special events.

It’s treasure-hunting at its finest, as dealers gather their ‘fleas’ and stuff including antiques, crafts, county furniture, old comics, toys, memorabilia of all sorts, and lots of collectibles. The night market affords a great opportunity for folks who generally cannot attend a flea market during the day. Great food and snacks will be available. As always, the fun is in the hunt. Bring flashlights.

On hand for sale will be an eclectic treasure trove of antiques, collectibles, old and new toys, primitives, estate jewelry, coins, sports items, bargains, closeouts, and lots of fun stuff to buy.

This late night Illinois flea market will host a very special guest appearance of former Chicago Bears player “Slow-Mo” Bob Avellini. Bob Avellini will be featured from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to sign autographs, photo ops, and meet guests. Also on hand will be Horror TV Host ‘Deadgar’ Winter from Deadgar’s Dark Coffin Classics.

The Boone County Fairgrounds, meticulously maintained in a park-like setting, is located just east of Rockford, at 8791 Rte. 76 in Belvidere. Market hours will be Saturday evening from 3 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $5 per adult and kids 12 and under are free, as is…
