“The Auxiliary is a separate entity of its own,” said Susan Simon, president of the Keen Age Auxiliary.

“We have fundraisers and use the money so we can do activities and things for the people at the Keen Age Center. Today’s event at Applebees was an annual fundraiser so the Auxiliary can benefit a lot of people. It was very successful. We served 100 people.

“We receive a wish list of and the Auxiliary decides what is possible once the funds come in. The Auxiliary is open to anybody. You don’t have to be a senior citizen to be part of this group. We need workers to help seniors at the Keen Age Center (KAC) and be a benefit to the people who come.
