Stateline Chamber Women @ Work celebrate Derby Day 2019

About 40 working ladies, many sporting elaborate, colorful and unique hats, gathered for the annual Stateline Chamber Women @ Work Derby Day luncheon, Friday afternoon, May 3. The event was held at North Pointe Wellness Center, 5605 E. Rockton Road, Roscoe. Chamber member Angi Kolthoff, chairman of the Women @ Work Committee, coordinated the program.
The Women @ Work luncheon was a nod to the up-coming Kentucky Derby and also an opportunity for women in the Stateline community to network and take part in a panel discussion dealing with the career obstacles they have overcome.
Kelly Meyer, Stateline Chamber Office Manager, introduced the members of the panel: Anabel Toye -Anabel’s Cleaning Service, Roscoe; Aimee Thurner – Greater Beloit Chamber Director, Beloit, WI, and Erica Shannon – Erica’s Board Creations, Rockton.
Each panel member related obstacles in their past that impacted their work-life and influenced their careers. The audience was invited to participate in the question and answer period that followed.
