“The Great Gatsby” was the theme of this year’s annual Stateline Chamber Casino Night. Friday, Nov. 1. Members and guests took a page right out of the Roaring 20’s. The ladies piled on the sequins and pearls and glitz as befitting a “flapper” of the time. Men donned fedoras and wide-lapeled suit jackets ala F. Scott FitzGerald.
This year’s Casino Night was held at the Beloit Club, 2327 So. Riverside Dr. in Beloit. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while playing Blackjack, Craps, Poker, and Roulette at tables scattered around the upper level of the club.
Those attending the gala event were given Casino Cash when purchasing their tickets. The fake money was used to play at the various game tables. Players could then use their winnings to win real prizes in the silent auction going on throughout the evening.
Among the prizes were gift baskets donated by various businesses, restaurants and sports venues throughout the Stateline area.
Casino Night is an annual Stateline Chamber fundraising event that helps promote area businesses as well as providing networking and educational opportunities to members in the Stateline Community.
