BELVIDERE – Any BNHS student interested in trying out for/playing a fall sport will need to attend the parent/athlete meeting on Wednesday, July 29.

All incoming freshman and students new to North will need to attend starting at 5:45 p.m. in the gym.

At 6:45 p.m. all athletes and parents will attend sport specific meetings in classrooms throughout the building.  Room numbers for sport specific meetings will be posted that evening.

Freshman and new student athletes must have a baseline concussion test prior to the first day of tryouts or practice in August.  Testing will be available before the meetings from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in computer lab #2003.

Belvidere North High School offers several sports for fall including: football, boys soccer, girls volleyball, girls tennis, girls swimming, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls golf (girls co-op golf attends meeting at BHS at 6 p.m.), poms (try-outs were held in spring), and cheer (try-outs were held in spring).

All athletes must have a copy of a current sports physical on file in the athletic office.  9th grade physicals will fulfill this requirement for incoming freshman; they will not need a separate sports physical.

Athletic registration is done online at North and instructions will be given out at the meeting.

Please call the athletic office at (815) 547-3884 with any questions you may have.
