SUBMITTED PHOTO Tempo
Assisting patrons, answering reference questions, cataloging and processing new materials, readers’ advisory, planning programming, assembling activity kits…and chalk doodling messages to our youngest patrons! It’s all in a day’s work at your local library. To see more photos of Julia Hull Library (Stillman Valley) staff creations, visit us on Facebook or Instagram.

Library Curbside

Julia Hull District Library is happy to offer curbside pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., by appointment only. Patrons place holds on items in Encore (the library’s online catalog). Alternately, library staff will be available limited hours, Monday-Friday if you’d like to say “hi” and ask staff to help you select materials. We’re here to help: call 815-645-8611.

Please note: Wait times for holds placed online may take longer than usual for pick up as we have a large backlog while items are in quarantine.

How does curbside pick-up by appointment work? If a JH Library patron has an item on hold: 1. Library staff will notify patrons by email or phone that their item on hold is available for pickup. 2. Upon notification, patron will schedule a pickup time. 3. At the agreed upon time, patron will call the library and library staff will provide instructions re: pickup. Items will be checked-out to patrons in advance and staged in a bag for your convenience.

For more information about curbside and FAQs, please visit our website: https://www.juliahull.org/schedule-curbside-pickup.
