BELVIDERE – The Belvidere girl’s co-op golf team, composed of Belvidere High School and Belvidere North High School students, defeated Harlem High School in a landslide victory on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The Belvidere co-op girl’s golf team had exceptional performances from Maddie Strum who scored a 41, followed by Sara Redig with a 47, Brenna Rieches with a 48, and Morgan McNulty with a 49. They were the top four players with the lowest scores who provided the team with the total score of 185.

The Belvidere girl’s co-op golf team also had two other players with great performances. Christine Chustak ended with a 61 and Gracie Thies ended with a 55.

Harlem High School also had players who proved to be contenders for Belvidere. Carson Racich scored a 38, followed by Reilly Hancock with a 57, Kaitlyn Usry with a 64, and Dawn Foss with a 66. These four players made a total for the team of 225.

Their teammate, Danielle Peterson wasn’t far behind with a total score of 69.

In the end, their efforts were no match for the Belvidere team, which puts the Belvidere girl’s co-op golf team at a record of 3-0.
