ROSCOE – Harlem-Roscoe Fire Prot. Dist. has a new fast attack, off-road, grass fire truck in service at their Station #3 on Willowbrook Road.

The new grass truck, 763, will respond to grass/field fires and is capable to go off-road to fight vehicle or tractor fires.

Harlem-Roscoe Fire Chief Don Shoevlin says: “This is a great addition to our current fleet and will give our District many years of service as it responds to the rural emergency needs of our citizens.

“The new unit is a piece of apparatus that will allow us to fight fires that larger units are unable to get to. This vehicle can and will also assist in rescues on local bike, running, and snowmobile trails.”

The new truck was custom built by 1st Attack Engineering Company out of Indiana.
