LOVES PARK – At the Nov. 30 Loves Park City Council meeting, aldermen approved two ordinances, first reading.

The first item dealt with a chapter amendment to the Code of Ordinances, which reads, “to enact a maintenance of order standard for licensees holding a Loves Park liquor license – to set certain training requirements for bartenders and servers serving alcoholic beverages within the City and to provide for happy hours within the City.”

The second ordinance amends an existing ordinance and reads, “regarding issuance of a Class F liquor license for Park Variety, Inc. dba ‘Vince’s Depot.’

Alderman Clint Little gave the weekly police activity report for the week of Nov. 22-28. A total of 479 calls for service, 11 accidents, and 113 arrests were reported.

On the weekly fire department report dated Nov. 29, one false fire call and two carbon monoxide or gas leak calls were reported.

Aldermen approved payment of $37,593.85 in water department bills and $224,953.59 in general fund and all other bills, as presented Nov. 23.
