Athletic signing - Hononegah

ROCKTON – Keegan Powers has been a varsity letter winner all four years at Hononegah High School.

On May 4, seated between his parents Doug and Jodi Powers, he signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Ellsworth Community College.

Ellsworth is located in Iowa Falls, Iowa.The two year college is ranked 17th best community college in the nation.

Ellsworth offers three degree programs and Career/Technical degrees. “Coincidentally, the school’s colors are purple and gold,” HHS Athletic Director Steve Cofoid said.

“Keegan has been a workhorse and an asset to the wrestling program,” Coach Glodowski said.

Powers has 106 varsity wins and was the 2013/2014, 2016 Nic-10 Conference Champion.

He was an IHSA 3A Regional Finalist in 2013, and Nic-10 All Conference in 2013, 2014 and 2016.

Powers was IHSA 3A Regional Champion in 2014/2016, IHSA 3A Sectional Champion in 2016, and IHSA 3A State qualifier.

Powers thanked his coaches, his family and his teammates for their support and encouragement throughout his four years at Hononegah.
