Middle Creek to host ‘Blessing of the Animals’
The history of the Blessing of Animals is that the blessing can be either of the animal or of the human-animal relationship, and can apply to HYPERLINK “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet” \o “Pet” pets and other HYPERLINK “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Companion_animals” \o “Companion animals” companion animals, or to HYPERLINK “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agricultural_animal” \o “Agricultural animal” agricultural animals and HYPERLINK “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_animal” \o “Working animal” working animals which humans depend on or interact with. Middle Creek Presbyterian Church at 12473 Montague Road will have a Blessing Of The Animals on Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. This will be in the parking lot and anyone could bring their animals, cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. to be blessed as long as they are well-controlled (in a carrier, on a leash, etc.).If your animal is unable to come, bring a picture of your animals. There will also be an opportunity to donate something that can be used at the animal shelter.
