Talcott library director to retire in August
ROCKTON – Talcott Free Library announces the retirement of Library Director Bonnie Estrada at the end of August, 2015. Bonnie has been a valuable asset to the library for many years and accepted her role as Director in 1986.
Please join us in extending best wishes to Bonnie at a Farewell Reception on Monday, Aug. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Talcott with a short presentation at 5 p.m. We invite you to send or bring a special written library memory.
The Library and community have all greatly benefited from her leadership, and generosity of spirit. Bonnie has been a friend to all with her thoughtfulness and quiet encouragement. Bonnie has been with the library since 1974.
Upon celebrating Talcott’s 125th Anniversary in 2014, Bonnie had this to say about her experience at the library, “It has been my privilege to be part of the Talcott Library’s rich history.
There have been many changes through the years, but what has not changed is the desire to serve our community in the best way possible. I enjoy the people I work with and the wonderful patrons who I have known through the years and am thankful for the support that the community has provided.”
Be sure to join Talcott’s Library Board and staff as we celebrate her accomplishments and say farewell to Bonnie in August. Talcott Library is located at 101 E. Main St., Rockton.
