Byron High School honors SAT high achievers
Fourteen seniors were honored last Friday evening at Byron High School before the start of the home football game. The students were recognized for their incredible performance on the SAT they took last spring. The student’s scores were high enough to be considered in the top 15 percent of over 1 million tests taken by students across the country.
Our teachers and staff should also be congratulated on this accomplishment. This year was the first time our students collectively took the SAT. This assessment, which measures Career and College Readiness, is an indicator of the quality of teacher performance in the Byron Community Unit School District.
Much time and effort has gone into aligning curriculum and preparing students to be successful in and out of the classroom. We are highlighting some of the impressive students we have here in Byron.
