Gaming Board extends Hard Rock Opening Act until November 2024
The Illinois Gaming Board granted Hard Rock Casino Rockford’s request to extend the operation of its East State Street and Bell School Road temporary casino location, called a “Hard Rock Opening Act,” beyond the initial two-year operating limit with a new operating extension until Nov. 9, 2024.
Hard Rock Casino Rockford continues to move forward with additional amenities and gambling options at its current, “Opening Act” location, with rapid construction underway on its permanent casino facility on East State Street near I-90.
The new 180,000 square-foot casino will include 1,300 electronic gaming devices, 44 live table games, 6 live poker tables, a sportsbook, Hard Rock Café, Council Oak Restaurant, Plum VIP Lounge, Food Hall and a 1,600 seat multi-use state-of-the-art entertainment venue.
“Hard Rock Casino Rockford thanks the Illinois Gaming Board for its continued commitment to work with us in building the casino facility Rockford has dreamed about for more than 20 years.
“Anyone driving by the permanent casino location off I-90 can see the progress and excitement build toward the planned opening set for late summer of 2024.
“Hard Rock will deliver on its promise of a premium destination casino that will be well worth the wait.”
