Economic Incentive Program approved at Nimtz, Perryville Roads
At its bi-monthly city council meeting Oct. 2, Loves Park aldermen approved a resolution and several ordinances:
A Resolution was approved authorizing an Economic Incentive Agreement for Anderson Illinois Properties, LLC for Nimtz and Perryville Roads.
Per the resolution, “Anderson Illinois Properties, LLC, (“Developer”) intends to acquire title to certain real property located at the south-east corner of Nimtz and Perryville Roads…and meets high standards of creditworthiness and financial strength; and…the Property has been vacant for at least one year and the development of the Property is expected to create job opportunities within the City and will serve to further the development of adjacent areas…
“The City has determined that the development of the Property will strengthen the commercial sector of the City and enhance the tax base of the City…and the City has determined that the attached economic incentive agreement is in the best interests of the City and its citizens.”
The following ordinances were passed:
*An ordinance annexing 6453 and 64xx Harlem Road to the City of Loves Park.
*An ordinance annexing 6405 Harlem Road to the City of Loves Park.
*An ordinance providing for a variance for an accessory parking pad at the property
known as 6093 Valhalla Dr.
*An ordinance amending Chapter 22- Businesses (Location Restrictions) of the Loves
Park Code of Ordinances.
*An ordinance amending Chapter 22- Businesses (Hours of Operation) of the Loves
Park Code of Ordinances.
Per the fire department report from Sept. 10-23, the department had 128 EMS calls/incidents, made 16 service calls, and responded to one fire call.
Per the police bi-monthly activity report from Sept. 10-23, the department received 1,118 calls for service, made 32 arrests, issued 244 tickets and warnings, and responded to 26 vehicle crashes.
From Sept. 12-25, water department workers, besides other duties such as mowing, meter readings and exchanges, continued operation of remaining hydrants from flushing for ISO, dealt with an abandoned deteriorating hydrant on Argyle Road, repaired a water main break at 5292 Sandpiper Place, and repaired a service leak at 536 Renrose Ave.
