Meridian C.U.S.D. #223 is pleased to announce the receipt of a generous grant from Laura Thomas, site manager for Benny’s Corner Market, in collaboration with ExxonMobil.

The ExxonMobil Foundation’s Educational Matching Gift Program is intended to encourage support for accredited U.S. institutions of higher education by employees, retirees and surviving spouses. The intent of the program is to encourage volunteerism through worthwhile and genuinely charitable activities in local communities. A $500 grant is awarded to an eligible, charitable, nonprofit organization after an individual volunteer or team of volunteers contributes at least 20 hours of their time to the organization during a calendar year.

The partnership between Benny’s Corner Market and ExxonMobil exemplifies their commitment to supporting community organizations that are making a meaningful impact in the Ogle County area.

“We are fortunate to partner with ExxonMobil along with our local Benny’s Corner Market and the outstanding employees in our community. We are so thankful for the generous donation to SVHS,” said Leslie Showers, Principal at Stillman Valley High School.
