BOONE COUNTY – It is my pleasure to announce that the 16th annual Old Farmin’ Days will be held Sept. 12 on our family farm in northern Boone County, located at 1171 Rockton Road in Caledonia.
Over the past 16 years our show has grown from a neighborhood picnic to a well known event drawing in over 2,500 people.
We will be demonstrating several pieces of antique farm equipment being powered by either antique tractors or teams of draft horses nonstop from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Back again this year is “Haying with Horses,” a demonstration of seven pieces of hay equipment all with teams of horses!
We will also have our usual demonstrations of antique tractor pulls, pedal tractor pulls for the kids, horse plowing demonstrations, kid’s games, a petting zoo, wagon rides, chainsaw art, blacksmithing, as well as plenty of farm antiques to see and watch.
This is a great chance to step back in time and see how farming was done many years ago down on the farm.
There is no admission charged, but donations are appreciated.
