Belvidere Police Department makes arrest
BELVIDERE – On Friday, Aug. 29, the Belvidere Police Department arrested a subject for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and criminal sexual abuse.
On Friday, Aug. 29, the Belvidere Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation which led to Arturo Indoval, 41, of Rockford being charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child (Class X Felony) and two counts of criminal sexual abuse (Class 4 Felony).
Indoval remains in custody of the Boone County Jail with no bond.
The alleged assaults are believed to have occurred over the past six years. The investigation continues and additional charges are possible.
A Class X Felony is punishable by six to 30 years in the Department of Corrections. A Class 4 Felony is punishable by one to three years in the Department of Corrections.
