Boylan boys’ soccer team beats Belvidere
BELVIDERE – The Boylan Catholic High School boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Belvidere at a home game at Funderburg Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Boylan won 2-1.
The Belvidere boys’ soccer team started strong scoring the first goal of the game from Benji Delgado in the first period.
However, Boylan came back in the second period to score two more goals. The first goal was from Andrew Golich and the second from Jaime Vera.
In total, Belvidere made one of the three shots they attempted on Boylan whereas Boylan made two of the goals out of nine attempts.
Belvidere goalie Edgar Gomez and Boylan goalie Tim Trilk both saved two shots from making it into the goals.
This put Belvidere at a record of 9-3.
The junior varsity also lost to Boylan who won 2-0.
