BHS lady Bucs defeat Jefferson

BELVIDERE – In a match set at Belvidere High School, the Belvidere High School girls’ volleyball team defeated Jefferson.
The match, that took place on Tuesday, Oct. 13, resulted in the lady Bucs winning both sets to take home the match win. Belvidere won the first game 25-21 and the second game 27-25. Both were close games, but the Belvidere Lady Bucs managed to remain on top to take both wins.
Despite the loss for Jefferson, they had players with outstanding stats throughout both sets. Cynthia Perez had 13 digs and four kills while her teammate Salina Oudomsouk had four assists. Another Jefferson athlete, Joele Beman, had three blocks.
BHS had stars of their own shine on the court Tuesday night. Julia O’Malley had 11 kills, six assists, and 10 digs. Belvidere teammate, Taylor Garvey, also had an impressive night with four kills and six digs.
These ladies helped the team tremendously, so BHS could take the victory.
