The Belvidere Boys football sophomore team will face Freeport High School at home at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 7:15 p.m. The Girl’s Poms squad will perform at the game. The junior varsity cheerleaders will cheer for the sophomore game and the varsity cheerleaders will cheer at the varsity game.
The Belvidere High School Girls Swimming and Diving teams will compete in the Blue Devil Dine Invite at the Warren Township High School O’Plaine Campus pool at 5:30 p.m.

The River City Sound Chorus will host the 8th Annual Show and Dessert Extravanganza at the CBCBC located at 111 W. 1st Ave. in Belvidere. Doors open at 1 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden, located at 2715 S. Main St. in Rockford, will host Hiking for Hounds. Bring your costumed canine friends to spend a day enjoying and exploring our entire 155 acres of gardens and grounds. At 1 p.m., dog owners are encouraged to enter their furry friends into a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded, and everyone will be able to take home good memories and pictures. In addition, there will be vendors with pet-friendly products to visit and an adoption event featuring local advocacy organizations. Are you looking for a canine companion? There will be plenty looking for forever homes that day. Costume Contest Categories: Cutest, Funniest, Most Creative, Scariest, Best Impersonation of another Animal, Best Owner/Pet Costume Combo. Homemade, original costumes encouraged. Admission is half price, so it is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, kids, and students and members get in free.
