Pure Halloween fun creeping into Rockton
This Halloween season family fun options are plentiful and full of pure, spooky fun!
On Sunday Oct. 25 Halloween kicks off in style as business owners present the first ever Main Street Trick or Treat. Nearly 30 Rockton businesses will be greeting young and young at heart from 1 to 3 p.m.
More fun is heading to the Rockton American Center as they present a special Trunk or treat event! Those who wish to participate may set up between 12:30-1:30 p.m. Visitors may enter from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. All must be dressed in costume. Ages from very little to age 13 are welcome to find goodies at the Rockton American Legion Post #332 Trunk or Treat!
Head across the street where five hours of spooky fun cater to every age person. Rockton’s Halloween Bash welcomes guests to the fifth annual event running from noon until 5 p.m.at the Greater Rockton Community Center.
This free family friendly event offers games, making fake blood, a treasure hunt, decorating pumpkins, food and refreshments, crafts done by Crafty Kids by Macktown, and for those who dare a very frightening adventure awaits in the haunted black light cabin (may not be suitable for every age, especially the younger set).
Joe Locke of Hits DJ service will spin tunes and lead the way as kids dance the Monster Mash with the Great Pumpkin. Rockton’s Halloween Bash and the American Legion have formed a strong yearly partnership to bring both the Trunk or Treat and Rockton’s Halloween Bash to life!
Prince of Peace is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 25 with two hours of fun running 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Outdoor action comes in the form of wagon rides, a campfire with S’mores and of course searching for candy or other cool things out of car trunks. Prizes will be awarded for ‘best decorated trunk’ and a costume contest for all ages.
Warm up indoors by playing games or take a break to enjoy food or refreshments. New this year a nice, big door prize can be won! In the case of inclement weather everything will be moved inside. This event is open to the public and everything is free!
