Belvidere woman named second runner-up in College of the Ozarks Homecoming Coronation
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. —Mollie Bluege, of Belvidere, was named second runner-up in the College of the Ozarks 2015 Homecoming Coronation on Nov. 4.
Bluege is a Belvidere High School graduate.
More than 35 College of the Ozarks student clubs and organizations nominated candidates. The candidates worked together as a group on a community service project to benefit teens from Rockaway Beach, Mo.
Votes by the student body determined the top 20 finalists. A panel of judges selected the top 10 based on interviews with the candidates. From the top 10, five were selected during the Coronation Ceremony to answer questions onstage. The judges crowned the queen and her court based upon the impromptu Q and A and one-on-one interviews with the judges done earlier that day.
Other factors taken into consideration were poise, personality, and stage presence.
