BYRON – The Byron Museum of History’s annual display of Christmas Trees once again was the scene for both beautiful and whimsically decorated trees. Area churches and organizations choose a theme and decorated their tree with creative and unusual ornaments. Byron Women’s Club theme for this year’s entry was done with all natural outdoor items, including pinecones, dried grasses and flowers. Large dried hydrangeas and a burlap bow served as the tree topper. Over 400 visitors to the Museum cast their vote for the tree of their choice from the trees viewed. BWC’s tree won a Third Place Ribbon in the Handmade Category. The Festival of Trees is a very special part of Miracle on Second Street and those who attended were not disappointed in the beautiful and varied displays.
The Jan. 19, Noon Luncheon/Program Meeting of the BWC was held at the Byron Community Room. Byron Physical Therapist, Drew Fitzanko, presented PAIN MANAGEMENT FROM A PHYSICAL THERAPIST POINT OF VIEW. He discussed how physical therapy can help better manage various forms of pain through the use of manual techniques, modalities and therapeutic exercises. He also shared some stretching exercises to help get your day off to a good start. This certainly helped everyone stick to their New Year’s Resolution to exercise more!!!
