BYRON – SwedishAmerican is pleased to announce that its new Byron clinic is now open, officially replacing its existing clinic. Located in the same location at 230 West Blackhawk Drive, the 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility allows for expanded services and added physician practices.
The new clinic enables SwedishAmerican to provide specialty services to their patients, based on the needs of the patient population. One specialty service now offered in Byron is Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. K. Fatima Ali is now accepting patients in Byron once a week, providing comprehensive care to women of all ages.
In addition to offering new medical specialties, family physicians Dr. Emily Rogers and Dr. Christina Soriano, along with APN Kelly Brendel, have now relocated to the new facility.
“We are very excited to officially open our new Byron clinic on Jan. 11,” says SwedishAmerican Medical Group President Dr. Thomas Schiller. “We have had a presence in Byron for more than 20 years. Our new clinic represents SwedishAmerican’s ongoing commitment to the Byron area and the surrounding communities, and we look forward to continuing to provide area residents with convenient access to high-quality healthcare.”
To celebrate the grand opening of the new Byron clinic, SwedishAmerican hosted a special celebration on Saturday, January 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees enjoyed free food, won door prizes and giveaways, and took tours of the facility. Children had fun meeting SwedishAmerican’s mascot, SAM the dog. In addition, staff members and physicians were on hand to welcome guests.
