McHenry County Sheriff’s Office offers $500 ISA Scholarship
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office through the Illinois Sheriff’s Association will be awarding one County of McHenry resident a scholarship for $500.00 to assist them is pursuing higher education during the 2016 – 2017 academic year.
The Illinois Sheriff’s Association will be awarding over $54,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during 2016 – 2017 academic years. The Scholarship is to be applied to tuition, books and fee only. The students must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois.
There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin. The only limitation is as follows:
Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents.
Applicants applying to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for this scholarship must be residents of McHenry County.
Scholarship must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois.
Students must be enrolled full-time during the 2016 – 2017 school year (excluding summer session).
Applications are now available at your local sheriff’s office or at www.ilsheriff.org.
Sheriff Bill Prim stated, “Students must complete the application, answer the essay question and return all documentation to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office by March 1, 2016, to be considered in McHenry County.”
