St. James School of Belvidere will host a Fish Fry Dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner will include an all you can eat baked or hand beer battered fried cod served with Mac and cheese, French fries, coleslaw, vegetables, salad, and dessert. The Fish Fry Dinner is open to the public and costs $9.50 for adults (with family discounts available), $8.50 for seniors, with an additional $1 off for seniors who dine between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The dinner will take place at 320 Logan Ave. in Belvidere.
Family Video in Belvidere will host a Kid’s Carnival event in the evening to help raise funds for their donation drive for lymphoma research.
Saturday, March 12
The Belvidere Rotary Club is hosting Boone County’s Got Talent at 6 p.m. at The Community Building Complex of Boone County, 111 W. 1st St. in Belvidere.
Belvidere High School freshmen/sophomore/varsity boys track and field will compete against DeKalb and Rochelle at 9 a.m. at DeKalb High School.
Women of The Moose presents Windy City Dueling Pianos at the Belvidere Moose Lodge. The event is open to the public. Tickets are available for $15 per person at the Moose Lodge, located at 575 Beloit Road. Call Bev at (815) 347-4306 or Kathy at (815) 703-2171.
Hunter United Methodist Church is having a Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon at 3315 Hunter Road in Caledonia (seven miles east of Hwy 251 or one mile west of Hwy 76). The breakfast will include all you can eat pancakes with whole-hog sausage, scrambled eggs, applesauce, cookies, juice and milk. Donations are appreciated.
Capron Firemen’s Annual Pancake Breakfast which includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and beverages. The breakfast is from 6 a.m. to noon at Capron Lion’s Park.
