BOONE COUNTY – On Thursday, March 17, an investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit, resulted in the arrest of a Poplar Grove resident on felony drug charges.
Ronald S. Frederick, 45, of Poplar Grove, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (Oxycodone) within 1,000 feet of a school– (Class Two Felony).
The investigation resulted in the seizure of a controlled substance (Oxycodone). Frederick was detained at the Boone County Jail on $50,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. A Class Two Felony is punishable by three to seven years in the Department of Corrections.
