BOONE COUNTY – The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is Teaming up with Insane Inflatable 5K on Aug. 27at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boone County, Relay For Life of Winnebago County and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Rockford have partnered with the upcoming Insane Inflatable 5K event.
Insane Inflatable 5K is a dynamic fun run series made up of inflatable obstacles with a course length of approximately a 5K distance (3.1 miles). Through the partnership, this event will help raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer and the Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movements.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Relay For Life of Boone County, Relay For Life of Winnebago County and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Rockford, along with $5 for every participant that registers with the code“ACS5.”
The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk, inspirational event raises awareness and funds to end breast cancer and provides hope to all people touched by the disease.
Dollars raised for both these events help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, providing free information and critical services for people with cancer, and supporting education and prevention programs.
The Insane Inflatable 5K is scheduled for Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Boone County Fairgrounds, located at 8791 IL-76 in Belvidere.
