This opportunity was through NJHA, the National Junior Horticulture Association. At the 81st Convention I competed in the extemporaneous and prepared speech contests. I’m just so grateful to have been given the opportunity to share my God-given talent with others in Orlando, Florida. Not only did I get the chance to compete, but I also won Grand National Champion (1st place) for my extemporaneous speech on How to Attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds to a Flower Garden and National Champion (2nd place) on our FFAIndian Hill Manor and Farm Restoration Project.
I am really looking forward to competing in the 82nd Annual NJHA contest. I will be competing in the prepared speech category and in additional contests, and I’m hoping to take my FFA advisors and more FFA members along with me.”
