BELVIDERE – Eliza J. Haywood, 65, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 22 surrounded by her loving family.

Born Oct. 26, 1950 in Forkland, Ala., Eliza was the daughter of Herman and Essie (Rivers) Moton. Eliza married the love of her life, Clarence Haywood, on Dec. 30, 1971. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking for her family. Eliza loved tending to her gardens and flowers.

Eliza is loved and missed by her husband of 45 years, Clarence; daughters, Tamikia L. Haywood, Karice A. (Kenneth J. Jr.) Harris, Derise J. Haywood; grandchildren, Kenneth J. Harris III and Kyle A. Harris; siblings, Willie Rowe, Emerson (Linda) Moton, Al (Deb) Moton, Ruby Moton, Demous Jones; sister-in-laws, Betty Ezell, Julia Mae Waller, Mahalia (Wilbur) Paige, Lula Battles, Ada Haywood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, William Moton, Betty Moton, and Jimmie Dee Moton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30 at Faith Baptist Church, located at 1637 7th Ave. in Belvidere with Rev. Jeremy Weary.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. in Belvidere.
