Girls Golf Co-op

On Saturday, Sept. 10, the Belvidere girls’ golf co-op traveled down to Byron to compete in the Stillman Valley Invitational at Prairie View Golf Course. The girls finished fourth with a final team score of 401. Belvidere star athlete Maddie Sturm placed fifth overall with a final score of 86 points.

Teammates Sara Redig, Morgan McNulty, and Christine Chustak had the other lowest scores for the team. Redig narrowly missed the 100 mark with her final score of 99. McNulty went a little over 100 with her ending score of 103.  Chustak rounded out the final four with 113 points.

The other two Belvidere athletes are Rachel Nelson and Angelica Gaj. Nelson finished with a 118, and Gaj finished with a 137.

“Congratulations to the girls’ golf team for finishing 4th at the Stillman Valley Invitational Saturday at Prairie View Golf Course in Byron,” Coach Dan Koenings said. “Great job, ladies.”
