Visitors who stopped by Inspired Life Art Studio, at 201 W. Main St. in Rockton were in for a treat during the store’s grand opening cele-bration, Saturday, Feb. 11. Colorful paintings created by art class students and by owner Tabatha Dougherty were on display.
As part of the grand opening, several amateur artists were busy painting a background for a large painting Dougherty is working on and will be displayed in the studio.
“The community art piece will have a permanent presence in the studio,” she said.
Inspired Art Studio offers private and group art classes for adult and children in a variety of mediums.
DIY projects are especially popular. Purchase an $18 canvas from about a dozen designs and decide when you want to come in to paint it. Dougherty will be available to help and encourage.
