January is National Stalking Awareness Month

	Becky Winstead of Remedies: renewing lives said that most, but not all, stalkers are people that the victim has been closely involved with.

A stalker can be someone you know well or not at all. Most have dated or been involved with the people they stalk. Most stalking cases involve men stalking women, but men do stalk men, women do stalk women, and women do stalk men.

Real men wear pink results

	The generous people of Boone County and Belvidere took Chief Al Hyser straight to the top of the Real Men Wear Pink Winnebago/Boone County fundraising competition in 2018.

This year, Belvidere Fire Chief Al Hyser was asked to participate as the sole representative from Boone County. He was pitted against a full dozen candidates from Winnebago County.

 
 

LEGO Festival draws big interest during winter break

“We have thousands of LEGOS and Duplos here,” said Jane Lenser, director of the Cherry Valley Public Library.

American Legion Riders support veterans of Boone County

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, a group of motorcycle riders descended on the Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC) of Boone County. Sporting their leathers and badges, many of these riders are Veterans themselves or are closely related to Veterans.
