Despite having a gorgeous four-day weekend to enjoy outside in Belvidere, youth bowlers still dedicated their time to their craft by bowling on Saturday, Feb. 18 and Monday, Feb. 20 at Concordia Lanes, located at 1205 Logan Ave. in Belvidere for the Junior Bowling League.
Perhaps the glorious weather rejuvenated the young spirits to score some high games.
For instance, three bowlers topped the list in the Bantams league on Saturday. Camdyn Hall scored a 102 game with a 168 series. Jaxson Winder scored a 94 game, and Nicholas Schachtner had the highest series for the boys with a 167.
In the Preps division, Brock Ellingson scored a 161 game with a 401 series, and Mollie Jones returned to the high scorers list with a 135 game and a 316 series.
In the Junior/Majors category, Greg Suthers topped everyone with his impressive 212 game and 538 series. Coming in not too far behind him was Rachel Nelson with a 203 game and a 558 series.
