Friday, Feb. 17

Around 1:08 p.m., BPD Officer conducted tobacco compliance checks of local retailers, in partnership with the Boone County Health Department. Nine retail establishments were checked and all nine were in compliance.

Thursday, Feb. 23

Around 4:11 p.m., BPD Officer conducted tobacco compliance checks of local retailers, in partnership with the Boone County Health Department. Those who participated additionally were one juvenile male, and Ellen Genrich from the Boone County Health Department. Out of 16 retail establishments being checked, 14 were in compliance. A retail establishment in the 1900 Block of N. State St. was not in compliance as well as in the 200 Block of N. State St.

Friday, March 3

At 2:09 p.m., BPD Officer was dispatched to 1400 Big Thunder Blvd. in reference to a retail theft. The complainant stated a subject removed tags and concealed several items in a handbag and walked past the last point of sale.

Sunday, March 5

At 1:14 p.m., BPD Officer responded to the 900 Block of Johnson Court in reference to burglary to a motor vehicle. The complainant reported that sometime during the night, between midnight and 9 a.m. someone went through her vehicle while it was parked in his driveway and took several items.

Monday, March 6

At 9:49 p.m., BPD Officer responded to the 1900 Block of Gateway Center Dr. for an armed robbery. Employees stated that two males dressed mostly in black clothing with their faces partially covered had entered the business and, at gun point, took United States Currency.

Tuesday, March 7

At 6:47 a.m., BPD Officer was dispatched to the 400 Block of Wedgewood Lane in reference to a burglary to motor vehicles. The complainant stated three vehicles that were parked in the driveway were gone through and change and car phone chargers were taken.

At 2:45 p.m., BPD Officer was dispatched to the 800 Block of E Jackson St. in reference to theft. The complainant stated that miscellaneous items from his maintenance closet had been taken. The items were last seen on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at noon and discovered missing on Tuesday, March 7 at 2:30 a.m.

Boone County

Monday, Feb. 27

At approximately 1:31 p.m., BCS Deputy was dispatched to the 10000 Block of Shaw Road for criminal damage to a vehicle. The complainant stated that on Sunday, Feb. 26, she noticed the driver’s side rear panel window of her vehicle had a small hole in it as if it was shot out. The complainant then showed the vehicle window and a small hole was observed with severe webbing surrounding it. It appeared that the hole could have been caused by a BB. The complainant believed this occurred sometime between Friday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m. when it was discovered.

Wednesday, March 1

At 9:58 a.m., BCS Deputy met with a complainant in the lobby of the PSB. The complainant reported that several items were missing from his residence in the 4100 Block of Cornflower Road. Theft is over $300.

Tuesday, March 7

At 4:19 p.m., BCS Deputy responded to the 200 Block of W. Grove St. in reference to criminal trespass to a vehicle. The complainant stated that unknown person(s) entered his vehicle while it was parked in the 200 Block of W. Grove St.

Wednesday, March 8

At approximately 5:51 p.m., BCS Deputy was dispatched to Heritage Woods in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that items were taken from his possession as well as their LINK card.

At 12:03 p.m., BCS Deputy was dispatched to the 100 Block of Liverpool Drive in Candlewick for a report of a theft of a package from the front porch. The complainant stated that she had placed an online order with the company on Sunday, Feb. 26. On Wednesday, March 8, she contacted UPS to check the status of the delivery, and they advised her that the package had been delivered to her home on Thursday, March 2.
