BELVIDERE – The Belvidere Bucs boys’ varsity volleyball team leveled their record at 1-1 after a conference loss to the Boylan Titans on Tuesday April 5, at Melvin L. Brown Gymnasium.
It was the home opener for the Bucs for their 2016 NIC-10 season. They recorded a win in their first game of the season against the Harlem Huskies.
The first game was hard fought and Boylan won by a slim margin. Boylan won 25-23 over the Bucs.
Boylan came out of the gates fast in the second game and built a sizeable lead at one point leading the Bucs 17-3. BHS was able to make up some ground, but ultimately fell to Boylan 25-12.
The Bucs junior varsity boys’ volleyball team lost both games to Boylan and dropped their record to 0-2.
They lost by a big margin of 25-8 in the first game and 25-11 in the second game.
