Belvidere Bucs Soccer Team Defeats Grayslake North High School
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 the Belvidere High School Boys’ Soccer Team traveled all the way to Grayslake, Ill. to take on Grayslake North High School. Belvidere came out victorious winning the game 2-1. As per usual with Belvidere’s game play, the first period went by without any scores from either team. In the second period, Belvidere’s Jonathon Nava scored the first goal of the game putting the Bucs in the lead. Grayslake North came back within six minutes of Belvidere’s goal, to score a goal of their own. Tied at 1-1, Adair Horteales fought to get Belvidere back in the lead with the assistance of teammate Juan Resendiz. Horteales scored within two minutes of Grayslake North’s goal to put Belvidere back in the lead position to finish the game.
This puts Belvidere’s record at 19-5.
