BELVIDERE – The Belvidere High School varsity girls’ soccer team is on a roll with wins.

On Monday, April 18 the Belvidere girls traveled to Harvard to face the Harvard Hornets. The Lady Bucs won 7-0.

In the shut out game, the Bucs scored five goals in the first period.

First up with the scoring was Erys Rivera, # 2, who made the goal off of an assist from Mackenzy Jankiewics, #11.

With one Rivera already making a tally on the scoreboard, Jessie Rivera, #10, teamed up with Elizabeth Resendiz, #15, to make another goal for the Lady Bucs.

Erys Rivera was at it again, this time playing the assisting role in helping Yo-Yo Gardner, #17, score her first goal.

Clearly on a roll, Erys Rivera scored another goal, this time with the help of Coral Nava, #8.

Rounding out the first period was Giselle Lopez with the fifth goal of the game off of an assist from Yami Andrade, #6.

The Rivera’s came back for more points in the second period. Starting out the second period was Jessie Rivera, scoring her second goal of the game with the aid of Vanessa Rivera, #7.

Mackenzy Jankiewics saw action again by scoring the final goal of the game with the support of Emily Carillo, #18.

Defending the goal from any attempts was Maria Aguilar, #1, who aided the Lady Bucs in victory by not letting any goals get past her.
