BELVIDERE – The Belvidere Lady Bucs volleyball team faced off against Harlem High School in a match set on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The Lady Bucs took the lead quickly winning the first set 25-13.

However, Harlem came back strong, taking the next two sets for a match victory. Harlem won the second set 25-21, followed by the third set, 30-28.

In both games, Belvidere came close to taking the victory away and had some impressive work from some keynote players.

Becky Bartell had 4 aces, and 33 assists throughout the match. Julia O’Malley had 10 kills and 20 digs.

Unfortunately for the Lady Bucs, the plays weren’t enough to take the victory from Harlem. Harlem had 29 kills, 29 assists, and 47 digs from their key players.
